Summer Days

I hope everyone is having a great week.  I loved this weeks image from Delightful Inspirations!  Trust me after the week we have had at school I am ready for SUMMER!!!  I know that my kids are ready too.  I can not believe that my eldest is graduating from high school this year! It is such and exciting time for him but it sure makes his mom feel old. :) As tough as I think this week has been, for the people in the midwest I can not even imagine what this week has been like.  Our prayers are with all that have been affected by the violent tornados, especially those in Joplin Mo.  The devastation and loss of life is so heart breaking and we will continue to lift all those that were affected in our prayers.  I hope you all have a blessed week!

Skater Boy

Well here is my entry for the ongoing challenge this week at Delightful Inspiration.  Skater Boy is a really cute image and perfect for so many things, I chose to go with a birthday theme.  I stepped out of my comfort zone this week and instead of my color pencils I used markers. I have the basic set of prisma markers and I have played with them a few times but still don't feel real comfortable yet.  I love the wow factor that you get with markers as far as the brightness of color, my problem is I am not good at blending and shading with them.  I have always been more comfortable with color pencils and water color pencils.  Hope you like it! Flutterby Fairy!

Well, the name says it all! This weeks ongoing challenge for Delightful Inspiration is this adorable fairy. She is a cutie and I had fun working with her. The only problem was that I was to the wire finishing this week, (busy week around here!) I had to take the picture after dark and the light was terrible. I really wish you could see the pretty sparkle on my fairy.  She has the bling going on!!  Thanks to Delightful Inspiration for the adorable image and since it is the beginning of the month the challenge is open to anyone this week and you can play along.  Come join us, it is alot of fun and they have such adorable images every week.  I hope everyone has a blessed week!
